Fatima Georges is the founder and CEO of Sacred Movements, Corp. She is a Movement Therapist, Certified Holistic Wellness Counselor, RainDrop Therapist, Certified Reiki Practitioner, and a Professional Dance Performer.
Fatima has been dancing professionally for over 35 years and holds a B.A. degree of Fine Arts in dance from Marymount Manhattan College of NY. She trained with many dance schools including Alvin Ailey American Dance School, Carnegie Hall, Broadway Dance Center, and Ballet Hispanico. With a background in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, Guinea West African, samba and flamenco, she has an expansive knowledge of dance techniques and styles.
Some of Fatima’s major work includes traveling nationally and internationally with Carnival Cruise Lines (FL), Austin Samba community dance company (TX), Bandan Koro African Drum & Dance Ensemble (TX), and Brazilian singer “Silvana Magda & Katende Band” (NY). She served as a principal dancer for two off Broadway shows in New York City “Regained Innocence” and “Sex Is…” She was the lead choreographer and dancer for the Het Heru Healing Dance Group, and JC Caribbean Dance Company in New York City.
Fatima was raised by parents who are Spiritual Priests and Reiki Masters that offered services of several spiritual and healing modalities including chakra healing, reiki, reflexology, dream interpretation, nutrition and astrology. When Fatima realized that her passion for health and inner wellbeing required an in-depth experiential exploration of the inner dimension of human health, she decided to study Meditation, Qi Gong and Yoga.
In order to compliment her profound knowledge in inner wellbeing, she studied Nutrition, Herbalism, Tantra and Gender Harmonics with Jujumama Love Academy and Kamitic Philosophy with Ausar Auset Society (AAS), an international spiritual organization. These gave Fatima a holistic understanding of the source and manifestation of ailments in the human system.
Fatima used her own struggles with building confidence, embodying her feminine, loving herself and connecting to her baby during her journey of pregnancy as inspiration to help other women do the same. Giving birth is a beautiful gift and should be enjoyed and celebrated, but it was a rough beginning for her to find that happiness and peace. Physical body signs gave her warnings that if she had continued on that path, she would be headed for complications not only for her but for her baby as well. Once she learned the secret tools and put them into practice, she was able to be fully present, enjoy her pregnancy and attain an all-natural, blissful, and orgasmic birth.
Fatima wants women to know they are beautiful and worthy of love regardless of their weight, background, environment and past experiences. She provides a safe, non-judgmental space to allow women to grow and heal through their own journey of self- discovery.
